ABOUT ME

So, this is where I get to say a little more about me. Born in London, UK but having lived and worked in Spain, Portugal and Brazil, I’m now settled in Berlin, Germany. The process of becoming fluent in all of these languages, and embedding in these cultures, has been invaluable in training my art of listening, observing and understanding – critical in this line of work.

BACKGROUND

I began a classical music education at the age of four with the Suzuki method, training my ear and later winning a scholarship to the Purcell School of Music. At eighteen I studied as an actor for two years before moving into international publishing, broadcasting and multi-award-winning documentary production.

Ironically, while narrating my first film — very much against my will — the studio engineer suggested I should seriously consider voice work. Four years later I took his advice – and here we are. John, wherever you are now, thank you.

THE PRESENT

I continue to undergo regular voice and acting training to better understand and implement the links between physicality, physiology and intention — all in the pursuit of work that is more human, inventive and authentic.

I’m also an active member of numerous voice communities, groups and associations around the world. Together we’re stronger and we’re smarter.

On top of that, I’m turning into something of a sonic nerd, after building my own professional and modular studio in Berlin. This has not only improved my own work as a voice artist, but has also helped me develop as a producer — and has created a space that I can now offer all this to others.  Perhaps John set me on more than one path after all.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU?

Working with me gives you a living, breathing voice shaped by many years of experience, alongside a trained ear and mind that listens carefully to what your project needs. You get an endlessly curious, friendly, calm and technically exacting partner, whose aim is to deliver work that is precise, human, and considered.
