LOCATION
VOICEKRAFT is located in the iconic Neues Deutschland building in central Berlin,
just a few minutes walk from Ostbanhof S/UBahn station or Weberweise UBahn.
Originally, the whole front building was packed with journalists writing for the GDR’s largest daily newspaper, and the entire back building filled with printing presses.
With the fall of the Wall, readership collapsed and the presses fell silent – but the newspaper is still online, now taking up just the second floor. And the back buildings? They’re now filled with artists creating stages and costumes for the Deutsche Opera.
Come up to this artist space on the 6th floor – either using the usual lift, or one of the last functioning Paternoster lifts left in Berlin, if you’re feeling brave.
